Thrift Thursday: NYC Thrift Must Haves
When in New York City, thrifting is a must. With so many shops to choose from, how could you miss out on the endless hidden gems?
L Train Vintage Brooklyn
This vintage store has got everything from printed windbreakers to an entire rack of camo shirts- all for an overall low price. I bought an oversized festival tee from them a couple months ago and have been including it in the cycle of the three shirts I wear ever since.
Monk Vintage Williamsburg/5th ave/Greenwich
Though I’ve only been to the Williamsburg location, the wall of $5 pins is more than enough to keep me coming back. Filled with eclectic clothing, Monk is the perfect place for that weird and wonderful statement piece you’ve been looking for.
Buffalo Exchange Chelsea/East Village/Williamsburg
Compared Plato’s Closet, Buffalo Exchange is a little bit trendier and more curated than the previous shops mentioned. Though there are some pretty unique hidden gems, it’s for more of the thrifter looking to dip their toes in the world of thrift shopping.
No Relation East Village
NR could possibly be my all time favourite shop ever. With two floors filled with everything from overalls to slip dresses to basketball jerseys, I’m in love. On top of it all, everything is criminally cheap.
